Hello all, it has been a busy few weeks and I have a few quick updates, all good news! In advance of the next newsletter, I wanted to get a few important details out and about.
At the February board meeting, a full SWMS Board was elected and approved for 2025:
President: Andrew Sanford
Vice President: Jim Jerger
Treasurer: Zane Myers
Secretary: Megan Tribble
Board Member at Large: Gordon Self
Board Member at Large: Mike Travers
With a full Board restored, SWMS voted unanimously to remain an active group based on the many votes we received for "Option 3: SWMS as a sports car interest group." What does this mean?
SWMS will continue to exist as an organized group of sports car owners and racers! Less of "running race weekends" and a good bit more on national licensing partnerships and club get togethers.
The people and cars that make up SWMS are openly invited to race at our home track, Suika Circuit. Suika Circuit will organize, run, and sanction the race weekends. Visit www.suikacircuit.com for their full schedule.
SWMS will continue to renew SWMS/VMC licenses for those active in the many VMC sanctioned clubs (SVRA, RMVR, etc) and events across the US.
SWMS will continue to perform annual technical inspections in accordance with the SWMS/VMC requirements for those active in the many VMC sanctioned clubs and events across the US.
More fun things to follow as we reorganize and inject new ideas and energy into 2025.
Renewals: 100% online this year. A new start. A new system. Hagerty/MotorsportsReg.
In an effort to streamline and transition from our paper records to a fully digital system, this year is a bit different.
Annual memberships and license renewals are now open (valid 31-Dec-25 to 1-Jan-26).
$75 for a membership. The same $75 will also get you a combo membership+license renewal if you need that, too.
License renewals require you to upload your most recent, valid medical.

Together with all of us at the SWMS Board, I am excited for the 2025 season to start (March 8 and 9) and we are looking forward to racing at Suika Circuit! More to follow soon in the newsletter.
