Southwest Motorsport, Inc. (SWMS)—the largest road racing club in New Mexico— is a non-profit organization operating since 1999 to provide vintage, open wheel, sports car, and kart racing enthusiasts a venue in which to exercise their sport. Our home track is Sandia Speedway just outside of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Southwest Motorsport’s racing groups are run by “gentleman’s” rule, meaning that we do not encourage, nor condone contact, blocking or otherwise “offensive” driving tactics.

We are people who enjoy cars, competition, and good, clean racing; we realize that our cars are valuable and that many of our member’s budgets are finite. Besides our regular Spec Miata, Contemporary, Vintage, Open-Wheel, and Kart competition racing groups, our weekend events include a High Performance Driving School and a Lapping group for those enthusiasts who want to run their high-performance vehicles (street or otherwise) in a controlled environment but are not yet prepared to become full-fledged racers. We are passionate about sharing our sport and we hope to see you on the grid!
