No. SouthWest MotorSport is a club for enthusiasts of vintage and contemorary road-racing enthusiasts. We have contemporary and vintage car racing classes along with production car high performance driving schools and lapping groups. We also coordinate events with regional karting groups.
Yes. If you successfully complete our High-Performance Driving School you are eligible to run in our "lapping" group. We run a lapping only group with each race weekend.
Standard original equipment-seat belts. Cotton long sleeve shirt, cotton long pants, leather shoes and gloves plus a '95 Snell Foundation approved helmet.
Obtain a Driver & Car LogBook from our LogBook Registrar. Complete one SWMS Driver's School, and 2 incident-free SWMS race weekends.

We offer driver's schools at each event weekend.
The event steward will determine the schedule each racing weekend depending on the number of cars present and run-groups needed.

The date specific registration times will be posted on the website and registrants will be mailed, faxed, or e-mailed event specific data.

Entrant cancellation policy is on the entry form. "Total reimbursement of race fees will be issued IF registrar is notified of cancellation no later than Wednesday evening before event starts, after that fees will be forfeited."
IF SWMS cancels an event, all pre-entries will be refunded in full. Event cancellation will be advertised no later than Wednesday before the event.
Per the 2002 entry form-there is NO late fee, however, there is a discount if the entry is postmarked at least 2 weeks before the event.
The entry fee is for one driver/one car combination. (Meaning 2 drivers one car is 2 entries, one driver 2 cars is 2 entries)
The Pit rules will be on the website and will be a part of the registration package sent to entrants.

You are not required to get a book but strongly encouraged to do so. At this time, we are accepting books from other clubs but the tech inspectors will have to review them more closely than they do our books. You can save yourself time before the races.
Additionally, we are trying very hard to keep this club active. Your contributions will help us continue to operate in the black.
A car number is "reserved by payment of the Car LogBook fee and current membership.
